Model licenses

Every Hugging Face-backed catalog entry declares its upstream repository, exact audited revision, license classification, and whether you must provide your own Hugging Face credential. The source link in each row is revision-pinned: read that license before invoking the model.

The live model card returned by GET /api/builder/v1/inference/models also includes hf_repo_id, hf_revision, license_id, license_class, requires_end_user_acceptance, attribution_required, redistribution_allowed, license_source_url, and license_verified_at for each entry. The API is authoritative if this dated snapshot differs from the live catalog.

Your credential does not change a license

A user-provided token records which Hugging Face account accepted gated terms. It does not turn a non-commercial license into a commercial license or waive attribution, acceptable-use, or redistribution restrictions. You remain responsible for determining that your intended use is allowed.

Classification

ClassMeaning
permisivaThe audited revision has a permissive license; ColabHive may use its platform credential only on ColabHive-owned nodes. Rows marked † are the exception: their repository declares no license, and ColabHive does not ask for your credential by its own decision.
gatedHugging Face requires acceptance by a specific account; provide that account's credential.
no_comercialThe upstream terms prohibit or restrict commercial use; a token does not remove that restriction.
uso_restringidoAdditional terms, acceptable-use duties, multiple licenses, or unresolved rights require review and a user credential.

sshleifer/tiny-gpt2 declares no license at the audited revision, so its license_id is unknown. ColabHive classifies it permisiva and does not ask for your Hugging Face credential by its own decision, not because a license permits it. That decision is not a license and grants no rights in the model; its attribution text states the facts.

Catalog entries without hf_repo_id are ColabHive tools or trainable templates rather than third-party model-weight distributions. Trained models inherit the license policy of their base model; the endpoint does not erase or replace those terms.

Attribution obligations

attribution_required holds one of the texts below, verbatim, and the Attribution column of the snapshot links each model to its text. The text states what the model's license requires when you redistribute, share, or make available the model or a derivative of it: notices to keep, text to display, and restrictions to impose on your own users. Reproduce quoted notices exactly as written. Section 5 of the ColabHive Terms of Service incorporates this catalog into your agreement for every model you invoke. This summary does not replace the license; where they differ, the license governs.

Apache-2.0 §4

When redistributing the model or a derivative (Apache-2.0 §4): give every recipient a copy of the license (§4(a)); make modified files carry prominent notices that you changed them (§4(b)); retain, in the Source form of any derivative you distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark and attribution notices from the Source form of the work, excluding those that do not pertain to any part of the derivative (§4(c)); and if the work includes a NOTICE file, include in any derivative you distribute a readable copy of its attribution notices, excluding those that do not pertain to any part of the derivative, in a NOTICE file distributed with it, in its Source form or documentation, or in a display it generates where such third-party notices normally appear (§4(d)).

MIT

When redistributing the model or a substantial portion of it (MIT): include the copyright notice and the MIT permission notice in every copy.

CC BY-NC 4.0 §3(a)

When sharing the model or adapted material (CC BY-NC 4.0 §3(a)): credit the creator and anyone designated to receive attribution, keep the copyright notice, the license notice and the warranty-disclaimer notice, and link to the material where reasonably practicable; indicate any modifications and retain an indication of previous ones; and state that it is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 with the license text or a link to it. If the licensor asks, remove any of the attribution information listed in §3(a)(1)(A) where reasonably practicable (§3(a)(3)). The license you apply to adapted material you share must not prevent its recipients from complying with CC BY-NC 4.0 (§3(a)(4)).

CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 §3(a)-(b)

When sharing the model or adapted material (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 §3(a)): credit the creator and anyone designated to receive attribution, keep the copyright notice, the license notice and the warranty-disclaimer notice, and link to the material where reasonably practicable; indicate any modifications and retain an indication of previous ones; and state that it is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 with the license text or a link to it. If the licensor asks, remove any of the attribution information listed in §3(a)(1)(A) where reasonably practicable (§3(a)(3)). Adapted material you share must carry CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, a later version, or a BY-NC-SA Compatible License, with its text or a link to it, and you may not offer or impose additional or different terms, or apply effective technological measures, that restrict the exercise of the rights that license grants (ShareAlike, §3(b)).

CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 §3(a)

When sharing the model (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 §3(a)): credit the creator and anyone designated to receive attribution, keep the copyright notice, the license notice and the warranty-disclaimer notice, and link to the material where reasonably practicable; indicate any modifications and retain an indication of previous ones; and state that it is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 with the license text or a link to it. If the licensor asks, remove any of the attribution information listed in §3(a)(1)(A) where reasonably practicable (§3(a)(3)). You may produce adapted material but not share it (§2(a)(1)(B), §3(a)(1)).

No license declared; GPT-2 tokenizer under modified MIT

The repository declares no license; rights remain with the holder. Its tokenizer files (vocab.json and merges.txt) are GPT-2's, which OpenAI released under a modified MIT license: include its copyright notice and permission notice in all copies of them you redistribute.

DeepSeek License Agreement v1.0 ¶4-5

DeepSeek License Agreement v1.0, paragraphs 4 and 5: include the Attachment A use-based restrictions as an enforceable provision in any agreement governing use or distribution of the model or its derivatives, notify downstream users that the model is subject to them, and require all your users to comply; give recipients a copy of the license, make modified files carry prominent notices that you changed them, and retain all copyright, patent, trademark and attribution notices. Serving the model through an API counts as Distribution: paragraph 4 applies these conditions to hosting it for third-party remote access (e.g. software-as-a-service).

CreativeML Open RAIL++-M ¶4-5

CreativeML Open RAIL++-M, paragraphs 4 and 5: include the Attachment A use-based restrictions as an enforceable provision in any agreement governing use or distribution of the model or its derivatives, notify downstream users that the model is subject to them, and require all your users to comply; give recipients a copy of the license, make modified files carry prominent notices that you changed them, and retain all copyright, patent, trademark and attribution notices. Serving the model through an API counts as Distribution: paragraph 4 applies these conditions to hosting it for third-party remote access (e.g. software-as-a-service).

Gemma Terms of Use §3.1

Gemma Terms of Use §3.1: include the §3.2 use restrictions as an enforceable provision in any agreement governing use or distribution of Gemma or its derivatives and notify downstream users of them, give every third-party recipient a copy of the Gemma Terms of Use, make modified files carry prominent notices that you modified them, and accompany every distribution other than a hosted service with a "Notice" text file reading "Gemma is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use found at ai.google.dev/gemma/terms". Serving Gemma through an API is itself Distribution under §1.1(b).

Llama 3.1 Community License §1.b

Llama 3.1 Community License §1.b: if you distribute or make available the Llama Materials (or any derivative works thereof), or a product or service (including another AI model) that contains any of them, provide a copy of the license with any such Llama Materials and prominently display "Built with Llama" on a related website, user interface, blogpost, about page, or product documentation (§1.b.i); retain in all copies of the Llama Materials that you distribute a "Notice" text file reading "Llama 3.1 is licensed under the Llama 3.1 Community License, Copyright © Meta Platforms, Inc. All Rights Reserved." (§1.b.iii); and if you use the Llama Materials or any outputs or results of the Llama Materials to create, train, fine tune, or otherwise improve an AI model, which is distributed or made available, include "Llama" at the beginning of any such AI model name (§1.b.i).

Llama Community License §1.b + Gemma Terms of Use §3.1

The model card declares two licenses that apply together, the Llama Community License and the Gemma Terms of Use, and the repository ships a "Notice" text file that reads "Llama 3.1 is licensed under the Llama 3.1 Community License, Copyright © Meta Platforms, Inc. All Rights Reserved." and "Gemma is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use found at ai.google.dev/gemma/terms". Llama Community License §1.b: if you distribute or make available the Llama Materials (or any derivative works thereof), or a product or service (including another AI model) that contains any of them, provide a copy of the license with any such Llama Materials and prominently display "Built with Llama" on a related website, user interface, blogpost, about page, or product documentation (§1.b.i); retain that Notice file in all copies of the Llama Materials that you distribute (§1.b.iii); and if you use the Llama Materials or any outputs or results of the Llama Materials to create, train, fine tune, or otherwise improve an AI model, which is distributed or made available, include "Llama" at the beginning of any such AI model name (§1.b.i). Gemma Terms of Use §3.1: include the §3.2 use restrictions as an enforceable provision in any agreement governing use or distribution of Gemma or its derivatives and notify downstream users of them, give every third-party recipient a copy of the Gemma Terms of Use, make modified files carry prominent notices that you modified them, and accompany every distribution other than a hosted service with a "Notice" text file carrying the Gemma notice quoted above. Serving Gemma through an API is itself Distribution under §1.1(b).

NVIDIA Nemotron Open Model License §3

When redistributing the model or a derivative (NVIDIA Nemotron Open Model License §3): give recipients a copy of the license (§3(a)); retain, in the source form of any derivative you distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark and attribution notices from the source form of the work, excluding those that do not pertain to any part of the derivative (§3(b)); and under §3(c), if the work includes a NOTICE file, include with any derivative you distribute a "Notice" text file carrying the statement "Licensed by NVIDIA Corporation under the NVIDIA Nemotron Model License."
